HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Over two decades ago, Founder Gina Gippner-Woods was admitted into the hospital and was placed in a room with a little girl who had no family or friends to visit her while she was recovering from brain surgery.
One morning a nurse brought the little girl a plush pup and the little girl began to cry. Gina, not understanding why she would cry asked, “Honey, what’s wrong?”
“My puppy is broken!” she replied.
Gina saw that its ear was ripped and she began to wrap the ear to match the little girls bandages, and as she handed the bandaged pup back to the little girl she said, “It’s not broken, it’s got an Owie like you.”
And, in that heartfelt moment, OwieBowWowie™ was born! |
